MURAL Brand Validation: Navigating Post-Pandemic Digital Collaboration

As remote work transformed from emergency measure to enduring reality, MURAL—a leading digital workspace for visual collaboration—underwent a strategic redesign to meet the evolving needs of distributed teams. I conducted comprehensive brand validation studies and benchmark testing to ensure the redesign resonated with users and maintained MURAL's competitive position in the rapidly growing collaboration software market.

The research involved evaluating how MURAL's updated brand identity, messaging, and user experience aligned with post-pandemic workplace behaviors and expectations. Through benchmark testing against key competitors, I assessed MURAL's performance across critical dimensions including usability, visual appeal, feature perception, and emotional connection. This comparative analysis revealed opportunities for differentiation and validated strategic design decisions.

The validation study combined qualitative and quantitative methods to capture both measurable performance metrics and nuanced user sentiment. As organizations worldwide redefined how teams collaborate, the insights gathered ensured MURAL's redesign didn't just respond to current needs—it anticipated the future of work. The findings provided actionable recommendations that informed final design decisions and positioned MURAL to thrive in the new era of digital collaboration.
